What’s one of the first things that come to mind when you think about the Basic Attention Token & Brave Browser?
Is it privacy, efficiency or rewards?
Well, after the highly anticipated partnership in February with Brave and TAP Network, new details have been revealed as to what users can expect within the Brave’s ecosystem.
And it’s certainly rewards which users can get excited about!
Brave’s upcoming reward redeeming process will allow users of the Brave web browser to buy various gift cards using the TAP Network.
Now we must be clear to state that Brave is currently still in the process of integrating the gift card facility and this should slowly be rolled out within 2019.
What is the TAP network?
The Tap Network is a blockchain power-driven network within the advertising sector which aims to give users back the control of their data whilst offering rewards from highly recognized brands and advertisers.
With Tap Network’s innovative ability to connect millions of publishers, advertising brands, and consumers, we feel this could be a partnership with Brave that can really aid in cryptocurrency and BAT (Basic Attention Token) mainstream adoption.
So what sort of rewards can users look forward to seeing?
Users of the Brave browser will have access to a number of rewards including:
- Gift Cards – spend rewards with over 250,000 companies including the likes of Amazon, Uber, Apple, etc.)
- Hotel discounts – Earn BAT tokens by opting in Brave Ads, which you can also redeem with a number of hotels. You can additionally convert BTC, LTC or ETH and load BAT tokens to your Brave Rewards wallet as an option to increase your holdings.
- Restaurants – You will also have the option to redeem your tokens at a number of restaurants.
Now as a crypto newbie or Brave users who would love to get paid for their attention watching adverts, this offers the perfect opportunity for Brave to disrupt the advertising space.
According to Brave, This is how it works…
“Users who choose to see Brave Ads are presented with offers in the form of notifications as they browse the web, at a time that the browser finds appropriate and not disruptive. When users click to engage with these notifications, they’re presented with a full-page ad in a private ad tab. Brave Ads are opt-in and do not replace ads on websites. Users can also customize how many ads they would like to see.”
So essentially when users want to redeem rewards, this will be deducted from their BAT wallet.
TAP Network works alongside Brave by facilitating the transaction in the background allowing the user to pick their well-earned reward!
What is clear, is that the Brave team is not slowing down anytime soon with innovative and creative ideas to really disrupt the digital space.
The aim is to give control back to you and your privacy!
Do you believe Brave will eventually become the number 1 browser?
Is 2019 the year BAT goes mainstream?
