Tron is ready to update its MainNet to version 3.6. The Tron foundation announced in a blog post that the move would soon be completed.
“With joint efforts from the development team at TRON, Odyssey-V3.6 will realize a more lightweight built-in event server with added protocol data check.”
The team at Tron says the upgrade to Odyssey V3.6 will make the protocol more secure and stable. Privacy, speed, and ease of use will also be improved when the MainNet is upgraded.
Several points are laid out in the blog post that narrates just how the protocol will be affected and what the improvements will do for users.
Users will have the ability to switch on custom features when using Tron.
“Implement a more lightweight built-in event server, providing convenience for DApp developers to customize their own event service when they choose to switch on this feature.”
The security will be improved via more powerful proactive measures and multi-sig compatibility.
“Enhance protocol data check to prevent malicious data on the chain;”
“Add transaction permission settings for users, compatible with multi-signature;”
The upgrade also promises to make Tron’s blockchain more efficient. And according to the Tron foundation, transactions will be smoother and faster.
“Optimize the P2P network and the block/transaction broadcasting process for gRPC/HTTP interface, further improving the stability of the TRON network.”
Tron’s founder Justin Sun says the upgrade will make Tron simpler and safer for users.

Justin Sun has also said that Tron is on its way to outperforming Ethereum in every way. Sun’s style is to be relentless in promoting his projects, but now he and Tron might be actually ready to live up to the hype.
