Zomfi, a Play-to-Earn NFT game, has finalized its seed and private round funding, raising a total of $2.6 million from prominent investors. These include Roseon Finance, X21 Digital, Everse Capital, Basics Capital, Magnus Capital, and Misfit Venture Partners.

The funds, Zomfi notes, will be used to fund the game’s development, including the launch of its alpha phase in January 2022. And other than financial support, Zomfi also got the chance to connect with advisors and launchpads during the fundraising events.

Allan Ta, Co-founder of Roseon Finance, remarked “we’re excited to support Zomfi and see where they go.  Zomfi is one of the few first games on the market that will change the landscape of what crypto games will look like and we look forward to working with the team to ensure they reach their goals and milestones.”

Presently, Zomfi is under development on the smart contract-supporting Binance Smart Chain (BSC). It presents engrossing and unrivaled 3D gameplay, that blends the ever-popular zombie genre and blockchain. Players get to explore to zombie apocalypse as they collect gear and fight off zombies for a chance to earn rewards in $ZOMFI tokens. The tokens can be used to purchase additional gear in order to advance to higher game levels. NFT games come at a cost. In order to attract a wider audience, Zomfi has considered this financial issue, which is why its weapons have a starting price of $20.00. Weapons and gear are sold as NFTs.

Notably, the Zomfi team consists of personnel with a strong multiple game development background spanning over five years. They are seasoned developers in escape, horror, and zombie games. Presently, the group is working to develop a compelling and engaging game that will encourage long-term playing.

At the moment, the game’s target audience is the Southeast Asian market. Later on, Zomfi plans to announce a scholarship program for the Philippines, in addition to expanding its functionality and coverage as NFT demand increases.

Link Johnny Yang, CEO of Zomfi said, “We’re excited that our game has gained so much traction in the crypto community and attracted such valuable partners that have helped guide us along the way.  Our partnerships will allow us to expand the outreach of our game and provide us with great leadership.

Now that the fundraiser is complete, Yang says the Zomfi team will concentrate on the upcoming initial DEX offering (IDO). Scheduled for Dec. 1 and 2, the IDO will take place on Enjinstarter, Gamestation, and Roseonpad. He adds that the game has inspired great talk in the crypto community, which gives the team confidence that the public sale will also be a success.
