YouTube star KSI seems to be fully sold on Bitcoin. JJ Olatunji, or “KSI” as he is popularly known as has shown support for the largest cryptocurrency. Speaking to GQ, the 28-year-old YouTuber who has gained over 30 million subscribers on YouTube, seems to be all for an alternative form of stimulus package which he thinks should be distributed in Bitcoin.

He made this known in response to being asked what he’d do if he became the Prime Minister of the UK, saying;

“I’d give everyone £100 worth of Bitcoin – like a Bitcoin stimulus package for all. I’m really into crypto. I think Bitcoin is the future. It’s definitely going to be long-term”

Further, into the interview, it becomes clearer that KSI is well informed about the asset. With an estimated $15 million net worth, the millionaire Youtuber and rapper could invest in pretty much any venture. But Bitcoin seems to have thoroughly caught his eye, as he defended the asset’s credibility against fiat using the supply limit advantage that Bitcoin has.

“Just look at how money is inflationary, compared to Bitcoin, which isn’t. There’s a set amount – you can’t increase the amount of Bitcoin and that has value. I feel like a lot of people are not really seeing that: they’re trying to look for quick money like, ‘Oh, I want to get in and out.’ This is a long-haul thing and I’m here for the journey.”

Keep in mind that KSI is not just talking. The rapper who bought cryptocurrencies worth £2 million in December of 2020, secured £7 million from the investment, though he lost a chunk of it to the market’s bloodbath, KSI is still very confident in the future of digital currencies.

“It’s been a full journey, but I had to experience it. I fully understand it now, I put money in things where I essentially leveraged myself and I kinda over-leveraged myself to a point where I lost money because of it.”

He insists that investing in digital currencies is not a gamble at all and that he is grateful to have gained tangible experiences. Will he take steps back from Crypto in the meantime? Certainly not. KSI reckons that he will still be flowing into digital currencies. And our guess is that Bitcoin will make up a decent part of his portfolio, given that he maintains confidence in the leading cryptocurrency.
