Several key cryptocurrency key players have predicted concerning cryptocurrency prices. Ethereum (ETH) is not left out with many predicting a bright future for the project in deploying smart contracts and dapps. However, there is a brave prediction that Ethereum could reach $100,000 a piece in a few years and Ethereum bull Brian Schuster believes it is possible.

Although not certain if this will ever come true, Schuster believes Ethereum could soar really high if it becomes a valid store of value like gold in the future. About that, he said:

“This gives us a potential market capitalization of roughly $10 trillion, leading us to believe that the price of Ethereum might rise as high as $100,000 per coin. We might even go one step further and say that Ethereum is not like one asset, but an asset to replace all currency that exists.”

Not only Schuster believes in such a bright future for Ethereum. Roger Ver, Bitcoin.com founder, and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) proponent also believes that Ethereum has the potential to reach $100,000. He had predicted that the number 2 cryptocurrency would overtake Bitcoin (BTC) by the end of 2018 and BCH may do the same before the end of 2020.

“I see it happening, and I believe it’s imminent. Ethereum could overtake Bitcoin by the end of the year and Bitcoin Cash could do the same before 2020.”

While this is a really wild prediction, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak also believes Ethereum could go as far as Apple, as Ethereum’s start is similar to that of Apple. At the ‘WeAreDevelopers’ conference in Vienna Austria, ‘the Woz’ said Ethereum could become the Apple of cryptocurrency in the future.

Bitcoin Core contributor Jeremy Rubins, however, believes all the bullish predictions about Ethereum are not realistic as the cryptocurrency will definitely go to zero unless the miners take drastic actions to make it useful for payments.

No doubt the predictions about Ethereum are kind of blown out of proportion especially because Ethereum is still struggling under $140 and BCH is even less at $133. Ver’s conviction about the possibility of Ethereum reaching $100,000 may be an elusive dream, coupled with the fact that Ethereum’s most prominent bull Brian Schuster confessed he is not sure if the price is attainable. Anything is possible in the cryptocurrency industry and Ethereum may have underground plans to shoot for the sky so only time will tell.
