The DAO global hackathon held on December 17th, 2021 chose Grindery.io for second place in the finance and operations category. This platform was identified for helping solve a number of issues on DAO. First, the platform facilitates batch processing of payouts salaries, and grants. Second, the platform leverages trustless reporting while observing IPFS storage. Third, the platform can be integrated with other frameworks such as Gnosis and Aragon.

“We are excited with what the team at Grindery is doing. Building tools to be used in DAO frameworks is a very important step in deepening DAO usage,” said one of the judges of the global hackathon. The DAO global hackathon had more than 50 entries and was sponsored by DAO frameworks such as Polygon, Bitdao, Gitcoin, and Aragon.

During the event, it was noted that the DAO segment continues to witness unprecedented growth. In the last few years, assets under management within DAO have multiplied almost 300 times. However, much still needs to be done. Simple processes like payment processing, time management, and record-keeping still pose significant challenges within the DAO ecosystem. This hinders true collaboration and inhibits growth in these ecosystems. Grindery.io is building a platform that seeks to address these challenges. Think of it as a  tool that helps existing frameworks to scale up, boost productivity and enhance collaboration.

The DAO global hackathon is an event that is organized by leading DAO frameworks aimed at finding tools and solutions that will enhance DAO governance. The main objective of the competition is to find tools and technical hacks that will solve the challenges currently facing DAO platforms. Judges are chosen from leading frameworks and platforms. Competitors have a chance to win from a prize pool of over 200,000 dollars.

Grindery is a platform that builds tools to enable DAOs to make batch payments, timely reports, and agree on terms of payments. The platform has released its first Chrome extension that can be found on the Google Chrome store.
