Venom, an Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) licensed Layer-1 blockchain, is pleased to announce the launch of its public testnet, according to an official press release today. The firm operates as the world’s first compliant blockchain, enabling authorities and enterprises to build, innovate, and scale.
According to the announcement, the development marks a significant milestone for Venom, setting the stage for the network to launch on the mainnet. Alongside the testnet launch, Venom revealed a range of in-house decentralized applications (dApps) as part of its growing ecosystem.
The Venom testnet design is suited to both ecosystem users and developers, enabling developers to test and debug dApps and blockchain protocols while allowing users to experience them firsthand. The program aims to foster innovation and community building within the ecosystem.
To access the testnet, users can download the Venom Wallet on mobile or desktop and claim a free testnet allocation. The Venom blockchain features ultra-fast speeds of up to 100,000 transactions per second and a dynamic sharding feature that enhances scalability and network reliability. This makes it a viable tool for developers, while its low transaction fees make it user-friendly for global adoption.
Furthermore, Venom has curated a repository of developer documentation to equip developers with the necessary tools and knowledge to start building on its blockchain. Several dApps are set to debut on the Venom testnet, including the Venom Wallet, Venom Scan, VenomPools, Venom Bridge, Venom Stake, Web3.World, WeUp, NFT Mint, and Oasis.Gallery.
