The Open Network Foundation (TON Foundation) has announced that it will attempt to get certified as the fastest blockchain globally. On October 31, 2023, at 15:00 UTC, a public network performance test will be held to showcase The Open Network (TON) blockchain’s scalability, speed, and dependability.
TON Foundation will set up 256 servers for validator nodes and start a separate TON blockchain network for performance tests.
The TON blockchain has grown at an exponential rate since 2022. The number of addresses on the network has increased dramatically, from 170,000 to an astounding 3.5 million, a 20-fold increase. The number of TON validator nodes has increased to 350 in tandem with the rise of TON’s user population, resulting in a more decentralized network currently dispersed throughout 25 different countries.
TON’s blockchain has maintained an exceptionally stable record throughout this explosive growth, with no known significant network outages.
