Denizen, a designer toy collection based on the Ethereum blockchain, is elated to announce the launch of its astronaut-themed designer toys NFTs.
Denizen seeks to lead the revolution that will be the much-needed change within the NFT space, making it a more friendly environment for its community members. Denizen introduces its probably fair distribution mechanism that helps level down the field, giving all participants equal opportunities. Through this mechanism, Denizen will be allocating NFT to owners using Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF). Through VRF, the NFT distribution will be done in a provably random manner that cannot be free from manipulation by any parties, including founders and miners. According to the team, this mechanism intends to prevent founders and miners from acquiring rare NFTs before they are revealed.
Unlike most NFT collections, Denizen plans to host all metadata on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), which will provide censorship resistance and immunity to server shutdowns.
The NFT collection will reportedly entitle holders to guaranteed full refunds for up to 30 days after the revel. This will be made possible through a refund function. This guarantee is permanently programmed into the NFT smart contract itself, making it impossible for the Denizen team to make any changes.
The Denizen team explains on their website:
“We are confident that you will love your Denizens, so our contract will let you refund at a mint price, no questions asked!… We’d like to collaborate with artists and launch a Denizens x Artists collection under their artistic direction. Governance token will be airdropped to Denizen owners.”
The contract also prevents the founding team from withdrawing not more than 50% of funds raised before the 30-days refund period. As a result, the contract will constantly have adequate reserves for the refund period.
