Concordium, a public proof-of-stake blockchain with an integrated identity layer to meet legal standards, is pleased to announce the formal listing of its native CCD token on Bitfinex and BitGlobal, two renowned cryptocurrency exchanges. Beginning at 10:00 AM CET on February 10, 2022, Bitfinex will be the first exchange where customers can trade the CCD coin. On February 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. CET, BitGlobal will begin trading.
Bitfinex is one of the world’s oldest cryptocurrency trading platforms, having been founded in 2012. It provides a comprehensive set of trading capabilities, charting tools, and unmatched customer service. BitGlobal is built to make it simple for anybody to trade, participate in, or contribute to the digital asset ecosystem. It provides a user-friendly digital asset ecosystem with greater liquidity and international-standard security safeguards.
CCD will be available for trading against BTC, ETH, and USDT on Bitfinex and BitGlobal. At first, the exchanges will only accept spot trading of the token. Concordium plans to add CCD to more exchanges in the near future, increasing the CCD’s liquidity and allowing it to be used more widely.
The Concordium platform’s native coin, CCD, is essential for communicating with the blockchain. It can be used to pay for Concordium-based applications, as well as to pay transaction fees to the validator nodes that process transactions and safeguard the network. These fees are predictable, predictable in advance, and steady in Euro terms. The CCD coin will also fuel Concordium’s thriving ecosystems, with a particular focus on Regulated DeFi, Decentralized Fintech, and innovation.
CCD has been classified as a payment token by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, which means it can be used for on-chain transaction settlement, collateralization, and all other Decentralized Finance use-cases (DeFi).
The Concordium Foundation will create and implement a transparent governance structure that will allow the project to grow and adapt over time. CCD holders will be able to vote on-chain in Concordium’s decentralized government in the future.
