Lionel Messi, a well-known soccer star, and Bitget, the premier cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company in the world, celebrated the second anniversary of their cooperation with the platform earlier in Puerto Madero, Argentina, with the #MakeItCount event. More than a thousand individuals attended the event, which raised money for the humanitarian organization Club Caacupé, a sports club for young people between the ages of 12 and 17. This non-profit organization strives to improve the lives of children and their families who are in difficult situations in the southern region of Buenos Aires City.

Aside from football challenges involving over 400 participants, the event featured a variety of games honoring the renowned Argentine National Team’s number ten. The challenges’ victors were awarded a variety of rewards. Every goal the players scored resulted in a $3 donation; all told, the attendees contributed about US$4,000, a substantial sum that will go toward helping Club Caacupé’s local beneficiaries, the children.

Maximiliano Hinz, Bitget’s head of growth for Latin America and Spain, said, “We are proud to have been able to contribute to such a noble cause and to have seen the positive impact we have achieved together with the community. We will continue to be committed to initiatives that generate positive change in society.”

Bitget made the donation to Club Caacupé, a non-profit organization in Bueno Aires, Argentina, with the goal of enhancing the lives of youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds. Renowned influencers who contributed to and participated in the games included Candelaria “Cande” Mofelse, Ignacio “Nacho” Castañares, Joaquín “pollo” Álvarez, and Luli Fernández, among others.
