Open Source travel distribution platform Winding Tree announced its unfolding plan to collaborate with aviation platform Travel Forward to host its third travel hackathon at the World Travel Market event in London.
Effective Collaboration
The World Travel Market event to be held in London from November 4-6 2019, will feature well over 50,000 industry professionals, corporations and businesses in and around the travel and hospitality industries.
This year’s London event will thus give the new Winding Tree-Travel Forward partnership the opportunity to allow the attendees to code and work together in other to tackle real-world industry pain points.
Winding Tree has over the years earned the trust of industry greats who have at a time or two participated in their #HackTravel hackathons. France based KLM airlines and UAE’s Etihad Airways participated in December 2018 and July 2019 respectively.
The hackathons allow the participants to create Proof-of-Concept proposals, code technical hacks and also gain collective expertise, without looking at the size of the company, or whether it’s a start-up or an established enterprise.
Global Audience
This year’s WTM will open the flood gate of opportunity in the travel sector as Winding Tree will offer participants unique skill sets, which includes onboarding demos for its platforms, teach a crash course on decentralization, smart contracts, public blockchains, open sources amidst other exciting offers.
Relating its excitement at the opportunity to reach a global audience, the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Winding Tree Pedro Anderson stated that:
