Speculations run rampant over the potential launch of U.S.-listed spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) amid multiple reports that the U.S. Senate had reached an agreement to end the 40-day government shutdown — the longest in the history of the United States.

XRP enthusiasts are anticipating several XRP ETFs to go live shortly, with a couple of them already appearing on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) website ahead of a potential debut this month.

XRP ETFs Join DTCC Website

The DTCC website featured around five XRP exchange-traded fund products on its “active pre-launch” listing, including those from Canary Capital, Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, CoinShares, and 21Shares as of Monday.

These issuers submitted amended S-1 registration statements for spot XRP funds, introducing standardized listing language designed to fast-track automatic approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission under existing 8(a) procedures.

The price of the Ripple-promoted cryptocurrency jumped roughly 9.1% on the bullish news over a 24-hour period, with the coin changing hands at $2.46 as of press time, per CoinGecko. The asset — the fourth-largest crypto in the market — is about 30% below its July all-time high peak of $3.65.

XRP ETF Hype Boosts Bullish Case

While a listing on the DTCC does not indicate an actual launch or a guarantee of a regulatory greenlight, it’s a sign that the ETF infrastructure is ready to go live on American markets.

“Government shutdown ending = spot crypto ETF floodgates opening,” ETF expert Nate Geraci postulated in an X post earlier today, adding: “In the meantime, could see first ‘33 Act spot xrp ETF launch this week.”

As ZyCrypto reported, Canary Capital CEO asserted last Friday that his firm’s XRP ETF was set to go live as soon as this week.

The launch of XRP ETFs would further reinforce institutional appetite for exposure to the cross-border payments token following the conclusion of the SEC’s prolonged litigation against Ripple.
