Plutus has launched its tokenized loyalty rewards program, PLUS More, on the Coinbase-incubated Ethereum Layer 2 network, Base. This move marks a new chapter in the evolution of traditional rewards, bringing them into the open, permissionless world of decentralised finance.
Through the program, Plutus is redefining how loyalty value is earned, owned, and used—all on-chain. In 2015, the project pioneered the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) through on-chain loyalty rewards with Pluton (PLU).
Since then, it has rewarded over $58M in in-app savings over the past decade, and now, PLUS More is going live as a new, timeless addition for PLU stackers seeking to maximise savings on their spending with the Plutus Card.
According to Plutus, PLUS More is more than just a rewards system; it is a movement that shifts control from corporations to consumers, from closed ecosystems to open infrastructure, and replaces forgettable points with tokens designed for practical use.
With PLUS More, billions in loyalty rewards, from airline miles to cashback, that go unclaimed yearly can now be claimed, thanks to the transformation of these legacy models into interoperable, self-custodied tokens usable across the Plutus app and beyond.
For now, the service is only available to UK and EU customers. They can tokenize their rewards in-app and request payouts on the Base network.
After securing licensing under MiCA and the UK FCA, PLUS token holders can access a growing marketplace of partner perks, travel discounts, and digital gift cards, all powered by smart contracts on Base.
The PLUS More ecosystem will be powered by FUEL, a new on-chain network fee (similar to GAS on Ethereum), which will launch alongside the PLUS token. Unlike regular tokens, FUEL is designed to keep the system sustainable over time by returning rewards to customers instead of minting new tokens.
With this system and a decade of experience in the tokenized asset world, Plutus has positioned itself as a leader in real-world on-chain utility. The project is also set for expansion to the U.S. now that it has a sustainable loyalty system for everyday use, FUEL, and Rewards-as-a-Service (RaaS).
RaaS allows businesses to connect to the PLUS More network and launch branded loyalty programs, driving growth while giving their customers greater control and real-world utility from rewards.
For now, rewards are issued as in-app points on the Base network and are not available on-chain, and tokens are non-transferable. Once licensing approval is granted, distribution to eligible Plutus Cardholders and the launch of additional features under development will begin.
