The upcoming Blockwalks 2019 distributed ledger technology (DLT) conference slated to be held in Bratislava Castle, Slovakia, on October 10, 2019, will shed more light on how the integration of blockchain technology in government administrations could transform governance and improve the lives of citizens.

The conference will be attended by top government officials, prominent thought leaders in smart technology, blockchain, IoT and other new technologies and the subject of discussion will be how these new technologies could be used in the public sector.

Tibor Vincze, Blockwalks project coordinator noted that:

“The summit is a response to the growing impact of blockchain technology on numerous countries across the world. As governments are beginning to trial different DLT solutions to improve the quality of services, it has become extremely important to get the integration of blockchain right, especially when it comes to delicate information such as private data citizens.”

With the proliferation and growing ubiquity of blockchain technology, it has become quite crucial for the government to be abreast of the trends and improve their processes, to provide better services to citizens while also ensuring the security of their services.

MaxKaye, Co-founder and CTO of the Flux blockchain project which focuses on decentralized voting in Australia noted that:
